NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS!

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS How is everyone coming with their resolutions? You know the one’s about losing weight, exercising more, eating healthy…...they are all made from good intentions but they all require work. I can’t help you with the first two but for eating healthy I have a few suggestions.

1. Measure, measure, measure. We are all too stuck on super sizing our meals so measure your servings. 2. Use smaller plates! I hate it when I’m trying to eat healthier and my plate looks half empty. 3. You don’t have to eat boring food…..this is where Bear Creek Rubs enters the picture!!!

Mom always used to say “eat your vegetables”. She was right! I am not a big fan of veggies but I am more inclined to eat them if they are fresh, colorful, and taste good. I am sure everyone has heard “plant one zucchini and you will have enough for the whole neighborhood!” It’s true but you can fry, grill, bake, stir-fry zucchini, any way you want to fix them. I am including a recipe for one of my favorite ways to fix zucchini.

Broiled Zucchini

Ingredients: 2 zucchini-- quartered lengthwise. Oil or melted butter All American Rub Brush each zucchini quarter with your favorite oil or melted butter. Sprinkle All American over each piece. Place the eight pieces on a cookie sheet an inch apart. Bake at 375 for 8--10 minutes then turn the oven to broil for an additional 2 minutes. This will add a nice color to your vegetables. Serves 2--4 people. Enjoy!!

A gentle reminder: Always stir or shake your bottle of rub before using. The contents will settle
